How do I apply to rent from Appliances 4 Rent?

We only hire quality brands. Our brands include:

Do you have a minimum rental period?

Yes, for standard rental agreements the minimum period is just three months. However, there are some instances where the minimum rental period is six months. This usually applies to special promotions, or specific appliances.

What information do I need when applying?

Applying is easy, and can be completed in one simple phone call or online. All we need is your details, and the appliances you want to rent. Details required include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Birth

What do I need to provide on delivery?

We will arrange a delivery time to suit you. On delivery you will need to provide:

  • Photo identification (a drivers licence, passport or 18+ card)
  • Your bank number
  • Two weeks rental (see below)

How much do I need to pay on delivery?

Two weeks rental for your appliance(s) is payable on delivery. This covers your first two weeks rental, with your direct debit payments starting in week three. Alternatively you can pay three montly in advance if you prefer.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Yes, the person whose name is on the application will need to be home to show their identification, and sign for the appliances.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Yes, we can deliver on Saturdays. Please speak to our office staff if you have any special delivery requirements.

How much notice do I have to give you for delivery?

In order to ensure delivery at a time to suit you we recommend 48 hours notice. We can however deliver within 24 hours in most instances.

How do I make my rental payments?

Payments can be made in one of two ways:

  • For short term rental (3 months) it is preferable that you pay in full on delivery.  Both cash or cheque are acceptable.
  • For longer term rental (greater than three months), we direct debit weekly or you can pay three montly in advance.

Is there a bond or deposit required?

No, there is no bond or deposit required in most instances.

What happens if I move?

Contact us at least 48 hours prior to moving, to advise us of your new address. We will arrange to collect your appliances and deliver them to your new address. Customers are entitled to two free moves, thereafter a $20 delivery fee will apply.

What happens if my appliance breaks down?

One of the many benefits of renting with Appliances 4 Rent is that if your appliance breaks down during your rental, we will service and repair it absolutely FREE. If we cannot repair it on site then we will replace it for you - free of charge.

Can I end my rental agreement early?

Yes you can, but you will have to pay the remainder of the three month minimum rental period that is outstanding.
